Music has always played a central role in Ben’s life. His wit and skill as a singer-songwriter showcases an artist who is comfortable in both his own skin and with his impressive musical legacy. His acclaimed previous releases comprise his debut album 2003’s Famous Among The Barns, 2005’s Another Run Around The Sun, and 2008’s The Legend of Kung Folk, Part 1 (The Killing Bite). Highlights from his previous albums include appearances on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, The CBS Early Show, Last Call with Carson Daly and Howard Stern. Ben also made his acting debut with a recurring role on NBC’s American Dreams and has appeared in the pages of People Magazine, Vogue and even on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. His reviews and raves have been steady for over a decade now with more to come. Ben Taylor has previously toured with Sheryl Crow, Blues Traveler and Ziggy Marley among others.
Ben’s latest effort, Listening, seamlessly merges the sounds and styles of folk, pop, soul, urban, reggae and country/western, running the gamut from sonically spacious acoustic numbers to multi-layered vocals and fresh beats. Taylor explains the album as “An evolution. Some songs were actually recorded four years ago, some were recorded a few months ago, and a few recorded a few weeks ago just in time to make it. This album runs the gamut from both the production style and the period of my life in which they were recorded. These songs are little windows into the last four years of my life.”

She may have the disarming beauty and down-to-earth charm of the girl next door, but you don’t mess with Grace Weber. She’s a force to be reckoned with…
Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Grace moved to New York six years ago to attend NYU and now lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Although only 23, Grace has had an amazing journey so far. When she was in 4th Grade, Grace decided, much to the surprise of her parents, that she wanted to sing in an inner city gospel choir. Of course she got her way, and her years of doing that shaped not only her soulful voice but also gave her a worldview much broader than your ordinary kid growing up in a Midwestern suburb.
Grace had multiple brushes with fame as a teenager, having sung on the legendary “Showtime at the Apollo” in Harlem, at the Kennedy Center, The Ella Awards, and on The Today Show. She was recognized at this young age by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts which named her a Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Grace has even performed on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” handpicked by Oprah herself from over 400,000 entrants in a national video contest.
At NYU she started to seriously pursue a career in music in a number of different combos before deciding to go solo in 2010 and embark on the path of recording an album of her own material. Enlisting the aid of Grammy Award winner producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Diane Birch, Dionne Warwick) her self-released, debut album, “Hope & Heart,” on which she wrote or co-wrote every song, is a musical statement of a young artist and citizen of the world coming into her own.
In the short time since the self-release of Hope & Heart, Weber has garnered a sizable fan base, and has achieved significant milestones such as appearing on the prestigious NPR’s Mountain Stage and having the debut of the video for first single, “Everything to Me,” on the home pages of VEVO and AOL Music. The album’s release in late September clinched a sustained top ten spot on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts in both the U.S. and Japan. Her music has also been featured at Wal-Mart, Starbucks (every location in the world), Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and U.S. Airways.
In addition to a consistent touring schedule in the U.S., where she just wrapped up a 3 week tour, opening for Gavin DeGraw at a 10,000 seat amphitheatre at Summerfest, the biggest music festival in the U.S., Grace has also expanded her outreach overseas, with performances in Paris, Scotland and England. Grace kicks off the next leg of her touring in October supporting Ben Taylor and then begins pre-production on her sophomore album.
Ben Taylor is the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon, but he doesn’t want the conversation to end with that—since the release of his 2003 debut, “Famous Among the Barns,” he’s had a contemporary style with his own distinct flavor of wit. Ben’s latest effort, “Listening,” seamlessly merges the sounds and styles of folk, pop, soul, urban, reggae and country/western, running the gamut from sonically spacious acoustic numbers to multi-layered vocals and fresh beats. Ben explains the album as “an evolution. Some songs were actually recorded four years ago, some were recorded a few months ago, and a few recorded a few weeks ago just in time to make it. ... These songs are little windows into the last four years of my life.” Milwaukee-to-Brooklyn transplant Grace Weber, a former Presidential Scholar in the Arts who has appeared on Oprah, is tonight’s special guest.
